In 2013, Mike's father passed away from lung cancer.  It was a difficult time as his father was someone he admired and looked up to.  He credits his dad for instilling a sense of honor, integrity, and work ethic.  He also instilled a life long passion for sports, with baseball being the glue that always bound them together.  During one of the last moments of lucidity, his father shared something deeply personal that woke Mike up from a 14 year slumber.  Slowly, he began to make life changing decisions and started to better himself.  Wasting his 20s and 30s slaving away for Fortune 100 companies, he finally changed industries and began to move his life in a positive trajectory.  

In early 2024, our founder experienced something he previously thought impossible.  After a life event that for lack of a better word, broke him, he began to focus on himself and put aside previously held beliefs and found a community of like minded, positive people who encouraged success and celebrated the wins.  

This life changing event could have easily ended the story for our founder.  However, for once in his life, he decided to not try to conquer this alone. He reached out to friends, he utilized social media, and he finally found a community.

Bourbon.  

Crediting bourbon with saving his life, the community he found himself in gave him so much that fueled his inner passions. He found a community of people who shared expensive expressions for nothing more than an opinion.  He found life long friends who shared advice and encouragement.  He found a partner that encouraged him to take chances and afford him the compassion to make mistakes.  In short, he found his home.  

So why now?  Because now is the time to give back to the community that is shrinking.  Now is the time to try to save them, as this community saved him.
